Hi, thanks for coming to pineapple 🍍 on the road.

I’m a mom, a software engineer, and a passionate traveler originally from China 🇨🇳. My journey began in 2012 when I moved to Seattle, United States 🇺🇸, to pursue a master’s degree. Little did I know that this move would mark the beginning of a series of life-changing adventures.

In Seattle, I not only found a new career but also discovered love. My husband Brandon calls me pineapple as a nickname, that’s why the website’s name is pineapple on the road.  Brandon loves beer and I love food. What we both love is traveling. Together, we’ve explored countless places and countries, making unforgettable memories along the way.

In 2020, our family expanded with the addition of Guava, our beloved bernedoodle 🐶, named after the fruit we both like. Then, in 2021, our daughter Zoe joined the family. With a baby and our faithful dog in tow, we realized that flying across countries was no longer a breeze, but it couldn’t stop us from pursuing our wanderlust. So, in 2022, we took a leap of faith, bidding farewell to our jobs and selling our house in Seattle, embarking on a new chapter of life in Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱.
